I n
1929,sous the signature of Stanislas Navantès, appeared
a new work on the Small Theresa of The child-jésus, with
subtitle,: The angel of the Ministration. This gracious title,
she/it had deserved it. The angel of the Ministration, and all
his/her/its life testifies to some, the Small Theresa was in
all his/her/its fullness of the expression. As she predicted

to open the lips and to preach with liberty the mystery of the

Every century counted Angels of the Ministration. And how much
among them shone of a burst all special! Indeed the women were
to honor. He/it is sufficient of number holy Scholastique, holy
Claire Of foundation, holy Theresa of Avila, holy Catherine
of Siena, holy Marguerite of Cortone, holy Marguerite-Marie,
holy Theresa of the child - Jesus. It is such Angels' that the

The
Angels of the Ministration! It is not an association. The only
tie that unites them is the goal that they pursue. This goal
doesn't oblige to change his/her/its kind of life. He/it requires
no prayer, no meeting, no contribution,; he/it only asks to
give itself/themselves entirely to the big and holy reason of
the Ministration, intention the most Catholic and most apostolic,
marrying all expectations of the church, all desires of the
Sovereign pontiff, all needs of the priests and all interests
of the supporters.
In all Catholic countries of the world, the Pastors of the dioceses
make a vibrant call in favor of the Ministration. In this goal
that of conferences and talks have been given, that of gait
has been made, that of pecuniary offerings have been poured!
Certainly, it is a beautiful movement. Did he/it answer the
expectations that one was able to wait for some? Did he/it give
the wanted results? Alas! no, this burning well presented calls,
very motivated, didn't have or hardly of echoes dan the heart
of the young people to that they were addressed. It is an alarming
troubling and same fact, if this apathy continues, in ten years,
da most our parishes, there won't be the number of sufficient
priests to answer the needs always growing.
It is a failure, it is necessary to surrender to the reality.
I can be mistaken, and I wish to be mistaken, but I feel to
carry to explains this humble resulted t by these reflections
of the R. P. Desplanques. S.J., in the Christ on all our Paths:
‘' Then how that that makes itself? There is ‘'
good Christian ' 'S again him are not in depth…
‘' OH Lord Prayer, how does that make itself that there
is so many priests around so many young people, so many nuns
around so many girls, and does que¸a produce only of..
supposedly good Christian ‘'S… and so little…
so little of Christian burning… and beaming?
‘' That so much church has…, and so many bell-towers…
and so many preachers… and so many ceremonies…
‘' And that that only makes of ‘' good Christian
' 'S that are not water, nor late, no peppers, nor salt, there
is something that doesn't work surely… ' '
And I add, I am not justified while making it: and how does
that make that of so burning calls in favor of the ministration,
that some as eloquent and authorized voices don't provoke in
the heart of one youth her, devout, intelligent, one eyes and
spontaneous thank you? As the R.P says it. Desplanques…
' ' has something that doesn't work….
This failure he/it doesn't prove that the therefore par excellence
some ministration doesn't buy itself by words, so eloquent they,
by promises, are so beautiful they are but not by asking it,
by the sacrifice, by the tears, by the blood of the heart, Notre-Seigneur
didn't judge to pay too dear, by the effusion of all his/her/its
blood, the ministerial relief that has eternal promises.

In
1860, the church crossed a really tragic hour. The revolution
had sworn the loss of MAGPIE IX, Helen of Chappoin, the future
founder of Marie's Franciscan Missionaries, then aged of blackjack

What was the work of Mother Marie of Jesus? Some years before

Carmelites". Talking of the works of the priests, she/it
added: " These are our business. It is to this topic that
your tears must sink. When you don't return to this end your
prayers, discipline you, your fastings, believe that made not
you what Notre-Seigneur asks you."
"I see the extreme need that the church of our prayers
has, and I feel so briskly touched that it seems me that it
mock that to be distressed of others thing. I have the conviction
of it, while using us entire to pray for the defenders of the
church, for the preachers, for the scientists who defend it,
we will come to the help of our adorable Mr.. It is in this
goal that we are united, and it is there our vocation. Ah! Believe
me, hopeless prayer is not better nor more profitable than the
one that makes itself for the pastors of the church."
Fifty years after, noting a renewal of goodwill piety in the
priests, holy Vincent of Paul dared to advance: "Maybe
this change is it due to this big saint."

Testimony
of the small Theresa |
The
Small Theresa was set up worthy of his/her/its seraphic mother.
The sanctification of the ministerial souls held the first place
in his/her/its apostolic goodwill. This thought was the big
light of his/her/its life, it must him his/her/its devotion
and his/her/its heroism. Besides, she/it says it: "It is
there the general ut of my life". And she/it didn't prove
to be entire in the answer that she/it made one day to his/her/its
nurse who accused it a few, seen his/her/its weak strengths,
for going for a walk in the garden" I walk", she/it
says while smiling", I walk for a missionary who is not
able to some anymore."
As she/it is touching in these lines addressed to his/her/its
sister: "During the short instants that our remain, let's
not waste our time, let's save, the souls. I feel that Jesus
asks us to refresh his/her/its thirst while giving him some
souls, of the souls of priests especially.. Yes, let's pray
for the priests, that our life is dedicated to them. I came
to the Carmel ", she/it declared, the vielle of his/her/its
profession", to save the souls and to pray for the priests."
At the Small Theresa, it is a conviction: who doesn't pray,
that doesn't sacrifice for the priests can lath itself to like
God:
To "live love, it is oh my divine Mr., to implore you to
spill your fires in the elected soul and health of your priest.
That he/it is more so that a seraph of the heaven! Protect it
your immortal Church, I implore of it to you, to every instant
of the day. Me, his/her/its child, I sacrifice for her. I live
love!
Elsewhere, the Small Theresa had sung her prayer:
"I would like that the priest's soul looked like the angel
of the sky! Ah! I would like that he/it could be born again
before going up on the altar. "
she/it didn't make herself/itself illusion, such a prodigy st
the fruit of ardent prayers and long immolations. Also, she/it
added: "In order to operate this miracle, it is necessary
that burning of love, the souls, close to the tabernacle, sacrifice
the night and the day."
The author of" The Faith in "God's love, answers his/her/its
small sister of soul. Indeed, one would say two lyres that vibrate
to the union:
"That your priests are for as the white Host of which they
are the sacred guards, so that the world of life, to the gestures
of their life, that they are your favorite friends! So that
they are to the level of their sublime task in the purity, the
devotion, I accept, oh my Jesus, victim's role,: I offer you
my life in his/her/its flower… "
Achieving that by his/her/its Carmelite vocation, she/it is
the angel of the Ministration the Small Theresa cannot contain
his/her/its joy, she/it sings it: "That she/it is beautiful
our vocation! It is our turn to keep the salt of the earth!
we offer our prayers and our sacrifices for the apostles of
the Lord; we must be nous-m^mes their apostles, while by their
words and their examples, they evangelize the souls of our brothers
"!

"The
apostles of the Lord "! That these apostles are? The Small
Theresa had received the intelligence of the ministration. The
vocation of priests! She/it exclaims. "With what love,
oh Jesus, I would carry you in my hands, when my voice would
make you come down from the sky! "With what love, I would
give you to the souls "! She/it would never have comforted
herself/itself not to be a priest. She/it confesses" to
be happy to die to twenty four years the age where one can be
ordered priest lawfully not to live with the regret of not being
".
"The apostle of the kind, said Pope Magpie XI, summarize
in lapidary terms everything that one can say about the size,
the dignity and duties of the Christian ministration: "That
the man looks at you as the ministers of the Christ and the
dispensateurs of the mysteries become. "The priest is minister
of Christ; therefore instrument between the hands of the divine

The priest's powers is indeed ineffable. They hold the Father's

A priest climbs the degrees of the altar. By some words, he
changes a little bread and a little wine to the body and to
the Christ's blood. Oh power of the priest ", exclaim holy

Saint Vincent of Paul didn't stop inviting the supporters
to pray for the priests. He/it justified his/its insistence:

is not able to procure! Such are the pastors, he/it said again",

Without their heroic devotion, that souls would not know the
true God and could not benefit kindness of the Redemption!
"When it is about the missions", said Benoît
XV", the charity dons a character more to the sacred;
