suggested himself to the bishop of Three Rivers to confide
to the Oblatses of Marie-Immaculée the responsibility of the
Sanctuary.
They acquiesced May 7, 1902 and, the Virgin helping, they
made a national Sanctuary of it, in 1909, with the success

the Father Frédéric makes himself/itself writer.

He/it is stopped by the German troops with the Father Pio

They remain prisoners in the concentration camps of Lamsdorf
(Lambinowice) from the 21.9. of Amztiz (Gebice) since the
24.9. and of Ostrzeszow since the 9.11.

Father Maximilian and his/her/its colleagues are put back
in liberty in Ostrzeszow.20.11.1940 The German authorities,
to the demand of the Father Maximilian, give the authorization
to print an unique number of the Rn (December January 1940,
1941) exclusively for the zone of Warsaw, with one pull of
120,000 copies.

Father Maximilian is stopped by the Gestapo and is jailed
in the "Pawiah" of Warsaw. With him are stopped the Fathers
also: Justin Nazim, Urban Cieslak, Pio Bartosik and Antonin
Bajewski

Father Maximilian arrives, with a train charged of prisoners,
to the concentration camp of Oswiecim (Auschwitz) or one assigns
him the number of matricule.16670.

Between
July 28 and August 1st, the director of the concentration
camp of Oswiecim, Fritsch, in reprisals for the escape of
a convict of the block 14A, to which belonged the Father Maximilian,
chooses 10 to 15 convicts and condemns them to die of hunger
and thirst. Father Maximilian asks to replace one of the convicted
(François Gajowniczek); Fritcsh agrees. The convicted are
locked in the underground bunker of the block 13 in.

Father Maximilian, last survivor o

the bunker of the hunger, having helped his mates in their
agony, is killed by an injection of acid in the left arm.

The body of the Father Maximilian is burnt in one crematory
ovens of the concentration camp of Oswiecim

Professor Piero Chiminelli publishes in Padua the first biography
of the Father Maximilian Kolbe under the title L Millzia Marana,
