 Why
enter in the Third Order? Motive.
Motives?
1) because the Third Order is" an excellent means of
sanctification, an e shape life that breathes the pure mind
of the gospel ". (M.Ducheim,p.s.s.) and that, by his/her/its
rule it helps the priest to acquire" the pure mind of
the ministerial renouncement!" (Conc. Plenary), necessary
to make of hoes it to the souls.
2) because he/it makes the advantages of life participate
nuns and offer to the priest the remedies to the dangers that
he/it meets in the holy ministry (to see the conference of
M. Duchein, p.s.s.: The Third Order and the Priest).
3) because he/it is a means to testify our devotion to the
Immaculate Virgin, first Manager of the Third Order, e making
us carry his/her/its liveries, while enrolling us under his/her/its
patronage and while allowing us to celebrate the Mass of the
immaculate Saturday, and his/her/its honor.
4) because sooner or later, it will be necessary for us to
found or to direct" with expertise" one priest cannot
preach, like and make like a thing that he/it doesn't know,
or that he/it knows very summarily, besides, if he/it is tertiary
fervid, he/it will give to the supporters an example that
will be followed quickly.
5) because the Third Order is a means very convenient to save
the souls of Purgatory by the numerous indulgences that it
places at our disposal.
6) because" Saint François is the Boss of the
Catholic action get to his/her/its school, enliven of his/her/its
mind ". (Magpie XI, Ritual Expiatis).
7) finally, because the church, by his/her/its Popes and his/her/its
bishops advised it the priests strongly and to the future
priests, and that for a son submitted, a desire of the church
becomes for it an order.

 Authorized
testimonies.
1
- " to the first rank of the associations that contributes
to feed the piety of the supporters, it is necessary to place
the Fraternities established by the Regulars and nominees
under the name of secular Third party-Orders; but no of these
associations doesn't deserve to be recommended anymore that
the Third Order S. François. All his/her/its shaved
to be consisted to call the men to Christ's s imitation, to
the love of 'Church and to the complete practice of the Christian
virtues. That one especially looks after that that due to
the change of the vicars or the rat races or directors, the
Fraternities are not disregarded but that the new pastors
drive it to the wished perfection! The pastors will understand
what big, and numerous fruits indeed easily a minimal work,
in similar matter, bring to the parishes.
2 - " this would be us very pleasant, if a lot of priest
joined to Saint's Third Order - François, whose obligations
are light and the very big spiritual goods, where they could
draw the abundantly for mind of the ministerial renouncement

3 - Léon XIII, in a brief of September 21, 1900, asks
the Bishops to recommend the Third Franciscan Order briskly
to the members of their clergy and to look after that that
the candidates to the ecclesiastical state, during the time
of their formation in the seminaries, enroll himself in this
holy institution ".
3 - " the resurgence of the Third Order of Saint-François

write down in the Third Order of Saint-François ".

7 - " astonishing and even more regrettable thing, the
Third Order of Saint François of foundation, instituted
dear so at the church, so warmly advisable by the popes of
the past and by all popes of our time, is not again nor enough
known, nor included enough, nor enough appreciated, it is

and, for it even, maybe, by a sincere Catholics crowd to which

Origins of the Third Order.
Driven
by the ardent predication, the holiness and the prodigies
of S. François and anxious to form itself/themselves
at his/her/its school, the crowds asked urgently entered it
in the cloisters of the first and second order.
(1) inspired of the Very High, S.François not
to break the ties of family and society, founded a third Order.
"The project that no founder of order had imagined to
make even convenient by all the life nun François had

in 1221. The first tertiary were the Bx. Luchésius

Councils (in Vienna in 1301 and in the Latran in 1512), by more

Léon XIII, in the encyclic
Auspicato, described the influence tracks, of the Third Order
in the individuals, the families and the States, gorgeously.
He/it added: "We are convinced fully that more efficient
remedy doesn't exist to repress the reigning pains; better
means and manner don't exist to save the world and to bring
back it to the real observance of l 'Gospel, that the Third
Order" (13) Benoît
XV, XI magpie and Magpie XIIS spoke in the same way.
My Lord Desranleau, in his/her/its Pastoral Letter on the
Third Franciscan Order dated of October 4, 1942, said: There
is not no (association) that is able more efficiently than
the Third Order to shape us of the Christian perfect, capable
to the laic apostolate by the Catholic action. It gives a
pressing actuality to the tertiary Franciscans. The papal
providence chose Saint François of foundation like
boss of the Catholic action, because it wanted that the laic
apostles were as their celestial protective, burning of the
love of God and the neighbor, detached of everything that
that is the pleasant and entirely subject to the Saint Catholic
Church.

 Glory.
Since seven centuries, the
Third Orders gave legions of confessors, of virgins, of martyrs",
One counts on this day, 106 holy and blissful tertiary, (of
which 45 martyrs), honored of a public cult and more of 200
propertied blessed's title ". (14).
In addition to the 18 tertiary popes (of which all our last,
of Magpie IX, in Magpie XII) and of the 140 princes, the Third
Order counts the cardinals, the bishops, the priests in incalculable
number, of the scientists, of the artists, etc, that it would

S. Yves, S.Igance of Loyola, S. François Xavier, St.
Vincent of Paul, S. Gaétan, S, François of Paule,
S. Philippe of Néri, S. François of Dirty, M.Olier,
S. Jean Eudes, S. Paul of the Cross, the Card. Of Bérulle,
the S. Curé Of Ars, Mgr, of Ségur, the p. Leverman,
the Bx. Eymard, the Bx. Raymond Lulle, the Bx. Barthole, vicar,
the Bx. Cafasoo, S. Jean Bosco, the Bx. Cottolongo, S. John
the Baptist of the Room, My Lord Bourget and how many others!…
Number of Tertiary was martyrs. Nothing that to Japan, 338
were tortured with 72 Fathers. Of 1904-1944, the three Third
Orders produced more 70 holy and blissful and more than 150
reasons are introduced in Rome. The Franciscan martyrologe
counts more 4,170 names of religious and religious deaths
in odor of holiness, either tortured remarkable by their virtues.
The Third Order was a nursery of saints and these numbers
prove that it is a means surer to make his/her/its salute.

 Rule.
1 - to carry the scapular, symbol
of humility and penitence and the double cord, to recall God's
love and the one of the neighbor three nœuds: A lot of
Saint Trinidad. This practice is absolutely required, except
necessity, to participate in the indulgences and privileges
of the order. The cord can carry itself on underwear; he/it
reminded to Saint François the ties that attached Notre-Seigneur
during his/her/its Passion, and to us he/it recalls the ties
of continence that the liturgy of the Vêture reminds us.
2 - to recite every day 12 Paternoster, With and Gloria or the
breviary, or the Small Office of the Co-Virgin. (It is sufficient
to recite the 12 Paternoster, etc, in the day, one way or the
other. The ideal would be yet to find a 5 minutes to say the
Paternoster to part) The office of Paternoster is a canonical
officie, public as the breviary and must be recited vocally;
when one recites it, one is deputized by the church to pray
in his/her/its name.
3 - to fast, to part the days prescribed to the supporters,
if one the few, October 3, (eve of the feast of Saint François)
and December 7 (vigil of the immaculate).
4 - to make the daily exam of his/her/its conscience.
5 - to avoid the luxury, to keep the modesty and the simplicity.
To maintain the peace and the charity, to pacify the factions.
No of the this doesn't practice oblige at the risk of sin, but
they are however necessary to make real tertiary, in the sense
wanted by the church.

What characterizes the Third
Order of Saint-François, it is his/her/its mind of
wisdom evangelical ‘' (15)
opposite to the one of the world and necessary to the present
times (16), his/her/its mind
of faith and submissiveness to the church (17),
of respect for the priests (18),
d ' sincere Humility and of brotherly charity (19),
of penitence, of mortification (20),
and of detachment, his/her/its mind of prayer, goodwill and
apostolate under all his/her/its shapes (21)

Devotions of origins or Franciscan
adoption
The Manger, Jesus' holy Name, the Path of the Cross, the angelus,
the Sacred Cœur, the Patronage of S, Joseph, the breviary,
and especially the immaculate - Conception, named before the
definition,: '' the Franciscan opinion ''..
Advantages
1 - the Third Order provides a rule of life solemnly punished
by the church, sovereignly efficient to form to the practice
of the Christian virtues and to assure the constancy.
2 - he/it makes the tertiary of the official delegates to
pray in the name of the church.
3 - he/it makes children privileged of the Immaculate Virgin,
first Manager of Three Orders, of it and assure them the intercession
and the protection special of S. François and thousand
of elected that the three Orders produced (close to 4000 saints
on the altars).
4 - he/it makes them participate in touts the Mass, prayers,
offices, fastings, eves, penitences and other good œuvres
that make himself in the 3 Orders. (More of 50,000 celebrate
the Mass every day and sing God's praises in the middle of
the night; 25,000 Clarisseses and 4,050,000 tertiary).
5 - he/it returns them participants of the special graces
that Notre-Seigneur promised Saint François to grant
to his/her/its children.
6 - he/it offers them more of them a rand numbers indulgences
and several privileges

 Indulgences.
The Tertiary can win until 125
plenary indulgences per year, what they are right without counting
about 40 general Absolutions and 2 papal blessings to the, the
privilege of the Portioncule (August 2) and of the partial indulgences
in very big number. (To see the Small Calendar of the Tertiary.)
All these indulgences, except two, are applicable to the souls
of the Purgatory.
Conditions:
To be in state of grace, to have
the intention to win them, to accomplish the prescribed works,:
Customarily, the visit of the chapel with recitation of a paternoster,
Ave and Gloria for the Pope.

 Privileges.
1 - all Mass celebrated for the
Tertiary defunct are always and privilege everywhere, all altar
is privileged for a Mass that the Priest Tertiaire celebrates
for the soul of his/her/its parents. (Comm. May 5, 1909).
2 - right to be donned, at the hour of the death, of the big
dress of the Third Order under the ministerial clothes, as was
buried Saint François - Xavier to Goa.
3 - the priests-tertiary enjoy the personal privileged altar,
three times the week, so long as they didn't get the right to
use another day of the same privilege.
4 - for the tertiary defunct, one can celebrate a low Mass,
of Requiem even the days of feast of the major double ritual.
5 - the Priests - Tertiary can celebrate the Mass voitive of
the immaculate conception every Saturday, except to the feasts
of the double ritual in 2nd class and during the big octaves.
6 - if he/it cannot receive it of another priest, the director
of fraternity can win the indulgence of the General absolution
and the Papal Blessing while giving it in public to the tertiary.
7 - the priests-tertiary, if they are prevented lawfully, can
receive the General absolution or the papal Blessing any day
in the octave of the feast according to the right.
8 - the Directors of fraternity have the power to attach to
the Crucifixes the indulgences of the path of the cross.

Bosses
The First Manager of the T.O. is the immaculate Conception
(Dec. 8)
There is also S. François as boss and founding of the
T.O.
S. Louis, king of France, boss of the Brothers of the T.O.
of the Penitence.
Co Elisabeth, queen of Hungary, manager of the Sœur of
the T.O.
S. Jean Bosco, as boss of the Priests and the future tertiary
priests.
Various
The order of the Franciscans gave to the church five Pope,
30 cardinals and more of 3,500 bishops.
S. François has been named Boss of the Catholic action
by Benoît XV in 1916 and has been confirmed by Magpie
XI in 1926
